The way forward is often interrupted by diversions. Many times the diversions forces you to explore new grounds and unknown roads in order to get further. This widens your views of the world. Mostly, the diversions are not literal. Instead, they relate to learning and building knew knowledge. In the end, life would not be half as interesting if the road was straight.
On this site, I collect various texts related to my work as evolutionary biologist and bioinformatician. I suspect it initially will be texts that elaborate on method. Also, being a long time Unix/Linux user, I have felt that I would like to bring back to the community solutions and experience that I have collected over time. Some texts will be more akin to 'notes to self', but if more people can have use for them I am happy to share.
